[SOLVED] Cannot unmount /home.

When shutting down or rebooting, I always see the error message:

Failed unmounting /home.

on the console for a second before my machine powers off/reboots. I can't figure out the source of this message, and it does not appear in my log when viewed with the journalctl command. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

What happends if you unmount /home manually? Any errors?

No, unless of course I have a file opened on that mount, but I'm fairly certain systemd would kill those processes before attempting to unmount.

This error mysteriously disappeared as soon as I managed to get my persistent logging data to persist between reboots. It doesn't happen anymore.
