Archtrack tools in applications menu

hi!
After installing archlinux i was going to install backtrack-pentest-library but i found another alternative in AUR which is Archtrack

Now i installed Archtrack tools but what i need is a group of these tools in the applications menu (in KDE, like internet group or Games group) to make it easy to choose the tools and also to help learn and discover them

This group in applications menu is like the one that exist in Kali / backtrack

>Archtrack>
   |>archtrack-exploitation-tools
       |>....
       |>.....
   |>archtrack-forensics
       |>....
   |>archtrack-hardware-hacking
       |>.....
            |>.....
   |>...

thanks in advance ...

Re: Archtrack tools in applications menu

The grouping in applications menu is typically controlled by the .desktop file, key Categories .
http://standards.freedesktop.org/deskto … 01s05.html

Unfortunately the link to 'desktop menu specification' that's supposed to list the possbile values gives a blank page.
However, you can find lots of .desktop files in /usr/share/applications.
Also check the .desktop files that are used by kali / backtrack .

Alternatively you could create your own menu group manually, how to do this depends on the WM/DE you use.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

(A works at time B)  && (time C > time B ) ≠  (A works at time C)

Re: Archtrack tools in applications menu

first ,thanks for the link it is very usefull

second, i think you didn't understand me but what i want is the method used in Kali or Backtrack the tools are listed in the applications menu when you want for example to run metasploit or aircrack-ng the application open in a new console

by the way i think i will start creating my list with the help of your link and i will put it in pubic if i succeeded.
