[SOLVED] GDM install Gnome Help?

I'm testing Arch 64bit in a Virtual Box.
I have installed the GNOME form the GNOME wiki.
I have got it working with startx by editing /root/.xinitrc
Only user is root.
I think I will need to change to runlevel 5 for boot but don't know if I should do this before or after the install.

I have tried the instructions at GDM wiki I know it says deprecated. I have tried googling sites also.
I'm not able to find a way to get GDM to install so I boot into GNOME?
If there is another launcher that can be used and has lots documentation that would be great help also.

Re: [SOLVED] GDM install Gnome Help?

IIRC

systemctl enable gdm

is all you need. Additional user startup commands can be added to ~/.xprofile.

Re: [SOLVED] GDM install Gnome Help?

That works!
No need to installing gdm separately.
Works with just his/her command.
