The conky/syslog in the background is just for show... I felt that something should be on the desktop layer even if I never look at it.

Working on userChrome.css in FF, really need to invest in a desktop so I can have better resolutions.

Openbox
Tint2
Firefox
urxvt

How did you make Firefox look like that?  Can you post the configs please?

I like the update notification, how is this achieved?

I bound a key to Mod4+F2 that runs a script, which when run calls dunst via notify-send. Here's my config for dunst.

That status bar for copying, is that baked into openbox or compton? Or neither?

VM: Herbstluftwm
Vim theme: mustang

Interesting.  I am an i3 user and I have been thinking about trying new things.  You are the second i3 user to have switched to herbsluftwm and love it that I have come across in the past couple of days.  I am going to have to give this a try I think.

The "VM: Herbsluftwm", is that supposed to be "WM", or was that intentional for Window Manager in German, "Vindow Manager" (kind of like how American Volvos have the V models for wagon, since there is no 'W' sound in Swedish).

Yes "WM", and No it was unintentional - I'm swedish though smile

Very nice! I really like the top and the bottom bar setup - is that both bar?

May I have a look at your panel setup(s) (panel.sh ?) and your config.h for bar?

Thanks!
