I've noticed recently that I'm getting an error during (taken from dmesg)
[ 7.982440] [drm:drm_pci_agp_init] *ERROR* Cannot initialize the agpgart module.
[ 7.982865] DRM: Fill_in_dev failed.
can anyone tell me where this is coming from and how to fix it maybe? I have a Intel i7-2600K (Ivy Bridge generation) with a Nvidia GTX 580 card using the propriatary driver.

I think it is not important because you don't have an AGP card
+pc: custom | AMD Opteron 175 | nForce4 Ultra | 2GB ram DDR400 | nVidia 9800GT 1GB | ArchLinux x86_64 w/ openbox
+laptop: Apple | MacBook (2,1) | 2GB ram | Mac OS X 10.4 -> DIED
+ultrabook: Dell | XPS 13 (9343) | 8GB ram | 256GB ssd | FullHD display | Windows 8.1 64bit ArchLinux x86_64 w/ Gnome

That's what I thought but is there a way to remove the error? Why is it even being triggered?

BTW, if your processor really is an i7-2600k, that would make it a Sandy Bridge (2nd gen) processor, not an Ivy Bridge (3rd gen and starts with a '3'). Unless this is just a typo, knowing this might help you debug things in the future, as there are unfortunately bugs that affect some 2nd but not 3rd gen procssors, and vice-versa.

It is a i7-2600k so you are correct it is a Sandy Bridge processor.

Doesn't appear anymore with the latest kernels.
