Asus Zenbook UX31E - dies after unplugging power source

This becomes very irritating lately. Whenever I unplug the power source, laptop shuts down immediately. Any help would be useful.

# kernel and initrd grub entry
kernel /vmlinuz-linux root=/dev/sda7 ro i915.i915_enable_rc6=1 vga=0x037e
initrd /initramfs-linux.img

systemctl --list-utils: http://pastebin.com/PwMjCe91

Laptop doesn't shut down before starting complete system (following kernel line)
kernel /vmlinuz-linux root=/dev/sda7 ro i915.i915_enable_rc6=1 vga=0x037e init=/bin/zsh

Tried to stop cpupower.service and laptop-mode.service, the same thing happened - laptop shut down.

Any other thoughts? Does/did anyone else have the same problem?

Re: Asus Zenbook UX31E - dies after unplugging power source

Are you running a desktop environment such as KDE or Gnome?  My guess would be that something that is capable of shutting down the system thinks that your battery is empty.

Re: Asus Zenbook UX31E - dies after unplugging power source

I ended up wiping everything out as system was 2y old and I have changed couple of DE in that period of time. It looked to me as finding a needle in a haystack. The problem was definitely in some setting. Fresh install with awesome "fixed" the problem. Note laptop was turning off even if battery was fully charged.

Thanks anyways, I appreciate your help.
