Does anyone know a working mirror for gtk2-perl package? I want it for the gcstar app (I can't find a working mirror for that one either but you can install that manually)
Thanks

do you get some kind of error message

error: target not found
I checked out another forum thread and found that gcstar is unavailable in several mirrors. Should I try switching to the default US server?

Are your sync databases up to date?
Always post not only the output, but also the exact command you run, maybe you mistyped the package name or something.

Hi, sorry I was wrong, I don't get the "target not found" error, it does find the download, but when I type to proceed with the installation,
I Get this

It just goes on like this. It's the exact same error when I try to download either gcstar or gtk2-perl - so the problem is definitely the latter. Any ideas? Could it be my mirror?
(Yes the databases are up to date. )

I can see you trying to download glib-perl, not gtk2-perl, but maybe you need them both.
I'm not sure your databases are up to date and I would like to know what's the exact command you used.
As you can see, glib-perl is currently in version 1.301-1, not 1.280 https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?sort=&q=glib-perl
It's been updated recently - a day or two ago https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit … /glib-perl
You should always update your system first before installing new software.
Try updating your system first and post the command you used if you still run into problems.

You rock man. I tried downloading glib-perl seperately and while at first it didn't work I did a pacman update and it installed beautifully. I can now use gcstar which is a really cool program. Thanks a million
