Anyone Play Diablo 2 Lod?

I have this working perfectly on wine It plays on Bnet too. I was just wondering if anyone else here played it. It's an older game, but still fun.

Hm i played it into the jungle 1 year ago i think, then i did not like it anymore... *g* or maybe 2 years ago, dont know for sure

I own it, play it every so often though not recently.  Great game, IMO.  Fun to play with friends.

Heh, I'm so impressed that people more often than not keep playing older games for years. I mean, considering when Diablo2 was released, it has a huge, established fanbase. Newer games tend to lose their gamers after a while.

I do play Diablo2 as well from time to time, but I haven't had the chance to install it in Linux yet. Now that I've removed Windows totally, I think I'm gonna do that. :-D

I bought a month ago Diablo II & LoD at the discount price, and I'm hooked playing BT.
I was very relieved by managing to play it flawlessly via wine
Great news bearing in mind I don't use any M$ products

Used to. Gave it up because I became addicted to it. I swore off Blizzard games after I gave it up. Maybe someday I'll think about it again.

I play D2 off and on.  Last semester my friends and I would play but then we never logged on over the summer and our accounts of course are gone   Started playing Guild Wars recently and am addicted to that now, but I'm sure I'll go back to playing at some point

The best info i could find on installing was at the gentoo forums. i just searched for diablo 2 there and looked at everyones problems and was able to get it working. This was around 6-8 months ago and i cant recall everything i did, but i remember there was a sound issue, use alsa, and linking your /mnt/cdrom to ~/.wine/dosdevices were the most important.

frankscorner.org had some info on it too
