Pacman color in konsole with white background?

When pacman is used in a kde konsole which has a light or white background it is hard to see some of the text such as that which is coloured in yellow in particular.  Apart from switching the background to black, or switching off pcaman colour altogether, can anybody advise if there is a way to get coloured pacman output when using a light background terminal console so that the coloured output is fully visible?

Thanks.

Try adjusting the colours you can't easily read manually. That's a pretty common practice.

Do you mean in the Konsole, or in pacman - I thought that pacman does not have any color control other than the line with #color bring uncommented in the file /etc/pacman.conf?

Or did you mean to change the settings somewhere other than these?

Sorry -- in Konsole of course. smile Those default colour schemes are, well, not always the right ones for particular needs, or some applications in this case. Tweaking the one that you find generally OK is the easiest way to improve the experience. You can always look for inspiration in dedicated threads: there are dozens of ready to use schemes. In your case, since Konsole doesn't use Xorg type config, you would have to create a new theme and paste in colour values you like. If not, tailoring an existing one should do the job, too.

I think the real question being asked here is whether there are any plans for pacman to work on terminals with light backgrounds?

If not then to avoid the problem, either choose a dark terminal or comment the Color option out of /etc/pacman.conf (or use --color=never).
