How to set any GTK2 theme/engine without Gnome?

Hello,

I only use openbox right now. Also, I have just GTK2.x.x installed on my system. And I want to be able to use all that nice GTK2 themes for my GTK apps.

So, how to do it? I have switch2 and it works for some stupid themes, but how to set something like clearlooks or something based on that engine?

What else do I need to install and do? I managed to get custom cursors, custom icon set, and now I need to solve GTK theme. Thanks in Advance...

Use gtk-theme-switch2 or gtk-chtheme - both of which, incidentally, can also be used to select custom fonts.

Alternatively, you can put

include "/path/to/theme/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"

in ~/.gtkrc-2.0.

Stupid me. Solved. clearlooks is sitting just there, in repositories, starring at me. Thanks.

You're welcome.

(Worry not, that one took me a long time to figure out too.)
