testing/xorg upgrade

My system is configured following the GNOME - ArchWiki and after the testing/xorg upgrade I don't know how to reconfigure to run directly GDM to login.

Re: testing/xorg upgrade

Correct me if I am wrong but would'nt it be sufficient to add gdm to DAEMONS() in rc.conf ??? ( last daemon to be loaded, of course)

Re: testing/xorg upgrade

KDM and GDM problems are discussed at least in this topic.

Re: testing/xorg upgrade

So open your eyes.

I still had problems to start gdm. I was able to start gnome doing
Code:
startx gnome-session
, but can't start gdm. I changed the X-Environments inside /opt/gnome/etc/gdm/gdm.conf to fit the new paths - /usr/bin/X instead of /usr/X11Rb/bin/X, and it does it's job now:

Code:
[servers]
0=Standard
[server-Standard]
name=Standard server
#command=/usr/X11R6/bin/X -audit 0
command=/usr/bin/X -audit 0
flexible=true

[server-Terminal]
name=Terminal server
#command=/usr/X11R6/bin/X -audit 0 -terminate
command=/usr/bin/X -audit 0 -terminate

[server-Chooser]
name=Chooser server
#command=/usr/X11R6/bin/X -audit 0
command=/usr/X11R6/bin/X -audit 0

flexible=false
chooser=true
