Hi,
I recently configed a new laptop with archlinux.
I have been using archlinux for 3 years on several PCs full-time.
Every boot and the screen backlight brightness is set to maxinum, but not last setting before system poweroff.
Does this have anything to do with systemd?
Anyone knows how to fix this?
Thanks.
edit:
I use gdm, openbox, systemd. Nothing else, pure archlinux, I guess.

Xyne's Relight does what you are looking for.

Since I typically keep my backlight at a pretty consistent level, I just have a udev rule dim it when it boots. That way I start at a sane level, and it isn't crazy blindingly bright.

Thansk.
well. Isn't it reasonable that gdm or systemd or something else handle this automatically?
