I'm using mplayer to play videos.
With some videos, more or less one out of three, mplayer freeze at the very beggining of frame renderring
here is an example of a freezing video : output1.avi
Actually the X server is freezed until the mplayer window lose focus, wich take two or three seconds
then I have to hit Ctrl-C in the terminal to kill mplayer :

get_path('output1.avi.conf') -> '/home/glow/.mplayer/output1.avi.conf'This freeze is not systematic, sometimes i can play the video multiples times without freezing, and when it start freezing, it will (almost) always freeze.
I've found a work around, but it is kind of weird.
If a video is freezing, i do not kill it, open another terminal, and i can play the videos (or any other usually freezign videos ) as many time i want without freezing.
As soon as kill the first freezing mplayer window, it will start freezing if i play it again in the new terminal.
Here is the output for the same videos when it is not freezing (with the work around or not)

I can't catch what video out option you're using from the output.
Do videos play correctly if you use "-vo xv"? (I think it's "xv"... It's the most "generic" yet "2D accelerated")
