nvidia: Things can only get better

Hi All,

after recently upgrading to the latest nvidia version (325.15), only one out of my two displays is detected as being connected. With the upgrade to 313.10, I had already encountered issues in properly determining resolution and refresh rate (documented here) which I was able to fix by manually supplying EDID information to the "broken" display. However, this time it seems as though no cable is even plugged in - the second screen stays black despite all connections being alright. So far I haven't succeeded in "tricking" the card to use the seemingly disconnected output.

As a short term measure, I have downgraded to nvidia 319.32 which strangely has no problem detecting DFP-3 (though it also needs manual EDID supply) but can someone tell me when nvidia is going to stop fooling around with working functionality and breaking it? This is really annoying.

If anybody has any viable input, it'll be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Yeah, I know, it's not your fault ... honestly. smile But I think I might just as well light a candle at church and pray for things to get better. wink
