This is a pretty simple problem, but I don't know how to fix it.
When I have PA set to tsched=0 in /etc/default/default.pa, KMix and all of my other programs work fine, except FTL on Linux Steam and anything in Wine. They have crackling audio issues.
When I have tsched=0 commented out, the crackling audio is fixed, and KMix can still recognize Pulseaudio and show all its volume sliders as it usually does, but changing my volume through it does absolutely nothing. It's basically a disconnected volume slider. This isn't just when FTL or Wine are running. This happens as long as I have tsched=0 commented out, no matter what.
