Hi,
I am trying to install Arch on my new machine, but an annoying nouveau error is making things very uncomfortable (but not impossible):
nouveau E[ PGRAPH][0000:03:00:0] ROP0 ch 1 [0x000007fb12 DRM] 0x00000000 0x00000001
nouveau E[ PGRAPH][0000:03:00:0] ROP1 ch 1 [0x000007fb12 DRM] 0x00000000 0x00000001
nouveau E[ PGRAPH][0000:03:00:0] ROP2 ch 1 [0x000007fb12 DRM] 0x00000000 0x00000001
nouveau E[ PGRAPH][0000:03:00:0] ROP3 ch 1 [0x000007fb12 DRM] 0x00000000 0x00000001
This error message appears every 10 seconds and makes it particularly annoying while I'm typing in commands.
I would like to either change the console loglevel or blacklist nouveau, but how can I achieve this with an UEFi USB installation media?
Any other solutions are welcome.
FYI, the card I have is a GTX 770.
Thank you in advance!

i get permanent error messages in my terminal while installion process. therefore i cannot read my inputs because error messages are every time beetween my inputs. it is not possible to continue my installation process until i solved this problem. error messages are triples as follows:
nouveau E[. PGRAPH][0000:01:00:0] ROP1 ch 1 [0x000007fb12 DRM] 0x80000000 0x80000001
nouveau E[. PGRAPH][0000:01:00:0] ROP2 ch 1 [0x000007fb12 DRM] 0x80000000 0x80000001
nouveau E[. PGRAPH][0000:01:00:0] ROP3 ch 1 [0x000007fb12 DRM] 0x80000000 0x80000001
This error messages appear every 10 seconds, sometimes more times when i try to enter my command. please help me because i am newby in arch, but i am i developer and want to know arch. i think this is a typical beginner problem here.

Well, I managed to finish my installation even though I was getting this annoying message every 10 secs...
It's annoying, but it doesn't disturb your input.
As soon, as I installed the nvidia driver once the installation was finished, the error message was of course gone.

Surely it's possible to pass loglevel to the kernel.
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 3#p1317943
I found that if I want to silence the systemd messages and stop dmesg from sending idiotic messages from the wl module, I have to use "quiet loglevel=3" in that order.
