I recently installed arch on my new Acer travelmate 4402. I have just about everything working, but in order to fix a system speed problem, the computer would run at about 3 times the speed it was spossed to so typing etc was impossible, i appended "noapic" to my grub boot line. Since doing so, typing "reboot" has shut my system down as far as linux is concerned, but when "rebooting" shows across the screen, it just stops. i currently use the latest archck kernel due to the fact that i need the ati drivers. the reboot does work on the stock kernel with the "apm=power-off" argument passed to grub. anyone have any ideas?

after a few days of tinkering i just re-compiled a ck kernel and built the ati drivers against it. i had to enable apm support so i could send power off calls to apm.. works fine now!
