[SOLVED]can't install alsa-tools because of conflicting files

I can't install alsa-tools because of conflicting files. I previously had aur/alsa-tools-emu10k1-gui installed and when I did a pacman -Syu yesterday - it tried to replace the emu10k1-gui package with alsa-tools (which is now in the extra repo).

That didn't work and alsa-tools installation complained about conflicting files, so I removed aur/alsa-tools-emu10k1-gui with yaourt but it didn't help.

[saultdon@alienix ~]$ sudo pacman -S alsa-tools

What do I need to do to get alsa-tools installed? I'm new to pacman and arch but love it.

Can I manually remove those, or is there some pacman trick that needs to happen here?
