Information on explicity installed packages

Dear all,
I need to play a little bit with pacman but, before starting, I would like to gather some basic information related to how pacman handle the list of installed packages.

As far I know, when I install package A, if packages B and C are required, they are installed too. But, at the end of the day, only A will be "marked" as an explicity installed package.

Question: where is this list of packages? how can I modify it?

I see from the manual that "--asexplicit" and "--asdep" exist, but can this be done manually?
..and, as the example below, If I reinstall package A with "--asdep", will it be removed from the list of explicity installed packages?

I hope this is the correct place to ask this.

Thanks in advance!

Try and see. You can undo this, so no harm in trying.
How to get the list of explicitly installed packages, see e.g. the man page.

Edit: BTW, there's no need to reinstall, see pacman's '-D' switch.
