This isn't one of the Atoms with the PowerVR graphics is it? Those are notoriously bad on Linux...
Also, unetbootin causes issues when using to to write the archiso to a USB. I'm not sure what happens or why as I've never actually used it. But I kind of recall it having something to do with destroying the bootloader config... Maybe you want to try installing the bootloader in the traditional way? Syslinux on arch is particularly easy since our package ships with a custom script called syslinux-install_update. Though using extlinux --install as well as dd still work as well. See the wiki for more info. I can't comment on the ease of grub installation since it has been quite some time since I have done it (I hate the stoopid "bios boot" partition that is required with GPT partitioning).

I can confirm, that the most recent Arch install medium works with 512MB RAM.

Latest archboot beta4 also can be used with 512 MB.

Hi,
I found out the problem is in BIOS setting for Video Controller, Atom E660 has Auto and 800x600, so choose accordingly.
I am now using my Linux from scratch....
