I updated my system (64bit, intel graphics) and after this update tf2 crashes when the menu screen is reached.
I solved it by downgrading glibc back to 2.17.
Does someone else have this problem? How do I know when i can upgrade glibc again?

File a bug report in the Arch tracker so that the problem can be fixed.
**EDIT**
I may have made a mistake here. Is that package in the regular repos? If not and it's just a binary download, then the bug reports will need to go upstream.

Do you use fglrx? Until now only 32 bit software with fglrx seems to be affected.

I have this exact same issue, and I'm using glibc 2.18-1 too. I'm using Nvidia drivers.
I've noticed something unusual though in my case - if I launch the game and immediately tab out of it to steam, give it a minute to get through the intro and load the menu, it doesn't crash, and I can tab back in and play ALMOST normally, except that now moving my mouse moves my character much like WASD should, instead of moving the view.
No idea what to try next, can't downgrade glibc without downgrading a lot of packages dependent on it.
