Compile mplayer with gcc4 or higher

Does anyone know how to compile mplayer with gcc4 ?

I located this:

Although theres no quick and easy wiki on it like alsa / xorg / nvidia etc...

mplayer-cvs is in the AUR, and works fine with gcc4.
