ABS with COMMUNITY download?

Can ABS be used to download a kernel from COMMUNITY for the purpose of adding patches to it?

If so, how to proceed.

yes, abs can download from [community], but it is disabled by default.  You need to add the community 'supfile' from /etc/abs/* into /etc/abs/abs.conf along with the other supfiles.
