Re: using at as user... [Mystery solved]

Check /etc/at.deny if your username is listed there. If not, is there a /etc/at.allow which does not contain your username?

man 1 at wrote:

The superuser may use these commands in any  case.   For  other  users,
permission  to  use  at  is  determined  by the files /etc/at.allow and
       /etc/at.deny.

If the file /etc/at.allow exists, only usernames mentioned  in  it  are
       allowed to use at.

If  /etc/at.allow  does not exist, /etc/at.deny is checked, every user-
name not mentioned in it is then allowed to use at.

If neither exists, only the superuser is allowed use of at.

Re: using at as user... [Mystery solved]

I'm not in at.deny . I created a at.allow with same rights as at.deny, added my user to it and restarted atd daemon, but it doesn't change anything :s

Re: using at as user... [Mystery solved]

looks wierd: wonder if somehow its seeing your username incorrectly ie an invisible control character is fouling things.

First remove /etc/at.allow as this makes at.deny redundant anyways.

Copy etc/at.deny to another filename/location (always backup files before modding) and then edit the original /etc/at.deny file and make it blank.

Blank /etc/at.deny =  *all* users able to access the command.

if it doesnt work from there, maybe we need to look for a sacrificial chicken to appease the daemons.

Re: using at as user... [Mystery solved]

!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got it ! I removed at.allow and backuped at.deny, then I "touched" a new at.deny and I try at as user... and it works smile I looked at the rights of the new file : 644 and at those of the backuped : 600. I just renamed the backuped to at.deny, chmoded it to 644 and now it worked smile
No needs to sacrifice a chicken or any others innocent animals smile
Thanks for helping ^^
