groff

What's the deal with groff at this point, a build from source is still problemed and has been so for about six months now. Has this guy folded his tent?

do you mean as far as downloding the source for 1.19? 1.19 was one of the packages up for inspection from when the gnu.org servers were compromised. only 1.18 is available from gnu.org if you want 1.19 you will have to google for a tarball. slack used have it posted but i think you could also pull it from a sorcerer server.

Yes, I was thinking of 1.19, the one presently in our repository,/var/abs/base/groff/PKGBUILD. I tried it a few months ago and got nowhere and nothing's any different now. I recall the security episode at GNU. So groff was one of the effected packages, eh? I'll bet it'll be forever before that matter is behind us. Thanks for pointing me to the alternatives, I'll probably try one of them. If I can't get it to work with our standard script I'll just stick with the binary until GNU finishes it's investigation.
