[SOLVED] S.M.A.R.T short/long tests failed

When I try to launch either short or long test to my hard drive, it stops at 10% saying: "FAILED". Any ideas? I know it has some bad sectors.
Also does anybody knows how to repair uncorrectable and pending sectors marked by s.m.a.r.t? If so, which tool?

Buy a new drive and replace this one ASAP. No, seriously. Even if it works for now, it's going to spiral into a nightmare sooner or later. If you really want to, you can use tools like badblocks or hdrecover to prolong it's agony, but it's still going to fail.

Get your data off before you do anything - before you post here or even contemplate posting here. If, that is, you have not already done so.
