Kernel Exec-Shield: No such file or directory

uname -r
3.11.0-1-ARCH

sysctl -V
sysctl from procps-ng 3.3.8

cat /etc/sysctl.conf
sysctl: cannot stat /proc/sys/kernel/exec-shield: No such file or directory

Also, it does not seem to load my sysctl.conf anymore. I have to manually run "sysctl -p".

I did not have this issue with kernel 3.10

Edit: procps-ng 3.3.8-3 is in [testing] (and so is linux 3.11.1-1). If you're using [testing], you should follow arch-dev-public ML.
When I upgraded my system, I got a nice warning and some more info:

[2013-09-14 20:18] [ALPM] warning: /etc/sysctl.conf saved as /etc/sysctl.conf.pacsave
[2013-09-14 20:18] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET]
[2013-09-14 20:18] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET] ==> The file /etc/sysctl.conf has been removed from this
[2013-09-14 20:18] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET] ==> package, as all its settings are now kernel defaults.
[2013-09-14 20:18] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET]
[2013-09-14 20:18] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET] ==> If you had customized it, you need to rename it as
[2013-09-14 20:18] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET] ==> /etc/sysctl.d/99-sysctl.conf since from version 207 on
[2013-09-14 20:18] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET] ==> systemd only applies settings from /etc/sysctl.d/* .
[2013-09-14 20:18] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET]
[2013-09-14 20:18] [PACMAN] upgraded procps-ng (3.3.8-2 -> 3.3.8-3)

Re: Kernel Exec-Shield: No such file or directory

Hi karol, yeah I had to use [testing] because my "nvidia" drivers would not work. How do you allow this "arch-dev-public ML" ?

Moving to [testing]: please post there is you are using that repo (and follow karol's advice about the ML).
