xorg7 and icons "solved"

I updated to xorg 7 several days ago, no serious problems. Today I read the dev blog instructions, I had already done most of the fixes etc. I downloaded the last of the updates and now ALL of my icons are gone. Every thing seems to work as long as I remember where they were and klic on that spot. Even my xplanet background is gone.   :?:  :?:  :?:  I have read through and done searches in the forum not luck for a solution.

Edit:  solitare etc don't work either.

Following advise from the foram I removed mesa when I restored it everything was fine.
