[SOLVED] ifuse dumps core when trying to mount iPad mini

I was recently given an iPad mini. Since there's not jailbreak for its iOS version (6.1.3), I'm trapped in Apple's golden cage.

I try to mount the device via USB wire with ifuse, but it fails with the following message:

kernel: [ 904.755492] ifuse[7315]: segfault at be10 ip 00007f060a9ebc05 sp 00007f0608ce4cf8 error 4 in libimobiledevice.so.4.0.1[7f060a9df000+1a000]
systemd-coredump[7317]: Process 7314 (ifuse) dumped core.

I just want to transfer files from/to the local network without going all the way to Cupertino. Don't need to share my files with "clouds", scp would be just ideal for me. But I can't even access the device's filesystem!

Suggestions appreciated.

Note: ifuse 1.1.2-4, libimobiledevice 1.1.5-1.

EDIT: Should have searched better before posting: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/35923 . Workaround at comment #4.
