Really Low FPS on nVidia Drivers

I'm getting really low spikes of FPS just randomly. I had this problem with Ubuntu so I moved back to Arch, as I the problem never seemed to happen on Arch, but I am now getting it all the sudden. My graphics card is the nVidia GTX 560 Ti. I currently have the nVidia 304.108 drivers installed.

Here's what I get if I run glxgears:

[tstrayhan@arch ~]$ glxgears
Running synchronized to the vertical refresh.  The framerate should be
approximately the same as the monitor refresh rate.
13 frames in 5.9 seconds =  2.187 FPS
6 frames in 5.4 seconds =  1.118 FPS
6 frames in 5.3 seconds =  1.125 FPS
5 frames in 5.4 seconds =  0.926 FPS
5 frames in 6.0 seconds =  0.833 FPS
6 frames in 5.9 seconds =  1.017 FPS
XIO:  fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":0.0"
      after 47 requests (47 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

Seems as if there is an error right there. Not sure what it means, maybe somebody knows?

Also, if I reboot the frame rate seems fine for awhile and will randomly start dropping again. Here's what I get right after I reboot, it's exactly what it should be:

Why aren't you using the latest driver (325.15)?

Skimming through it a lot of things seem to happen. It seems to try and load the other drivers (ex. vesa) which I don't even have installed.

NVC0 is the GeForce 400 and 500 series cards. And as you have a GTX 560, you should use the 'nvidia' driver in the official repositories. The numbers mentioned in the wiki refer to the older series of cards. 6\7 series would be the 6000 and 7000 series of cards which has not been in production for many years to my knowledge.

Your Xorg log seems fine to me, did you managed to copy it after getting the problem ?
Did you tried to set powermizer level to performance?
How's the temperature?
