Hi all,
I am (not so proud) owner of a Mobility Radeon 9700 and was just trying to get those open source r300 (http://r300.sf.net) drivers to work. I got all that 2D eyecandy to work with the Xorg 7 from testing, but I have heard that those r300 drivers were included in the recent version and thus wanted to try them.
However, if I include the line
Load "dri"in my xorg.conf then the screen simply turns black and my computer is frozen beyond all hope. Has anyone gotten those drivers to work with the current xorg and made up a recipe for blind people like me?
