I'm doing a bit of experimenting at the moment and this involves a RR 2720SGL card. I previously had it installed in a HP Microserver and was able to compile the driver on that (Open Media Vault). I've moved the card to my main Arch x86_64 PC but the driver compilation failed at the very start. I suspect it may be something to do with my kernel version. I'm using 3.11.1-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT but the manufacturer's website states it only supports up to 3.8.4

Am I on the right track? Can this be compiled using my current kernel?
Thanks.

Anyone have an idea on this? I'm looking at removing the card as I can't compile the driver. Might contact Highpoint themselves.

Try contacting right away the developer, it's probably some strong reason why they limited the support.
