No top panel, launcher or HUD in Unity

Hi all,

I'm using the Dropbox repos for Unity and installed it over GNOME. When I log into Unity, all I can see is my desktop wallpaper, but no panel or launcher, even when I press Windows (Super or Meta). In CompizConfig Settings Manager "Ubuntu Unity Plugin" is checked. What should I do?

Re: No top panel, launcher or HUD in Unity

Try to log into your unity... when your wallpaper shows up, press Ctrl-Alt-F1, log in, copy your .xsession-errors to a backup-file, and provide that one to us...
This procedure is neccessary only, if you log in using KDE, Gnome or similar to post, because those overwrite the .xsession-errors file, so if you stay in Unity you can take that file directly.
Maybe someone or I can help you after seeing that file.
