Atheros AR3011 Bluetooth not supported

Hello,
I seem to be having an issue with the Atheros AR3011 Bluetooth adapter. It's not detected by the kernel at all, despite the ath3k module being loaded, and firmware present.
The lsusb output for this adapter is as follows :

After some searching, I found out that libmtp might be causing this problem, however I do not have it installed.

I have not seen the USB VID/PID listed in any of the sources for ath3k and btusb. However, after adding the VID/PID to ath3k.c as an AR3011 device, loading the module fails with the following :

ath3k: probe of 1-1.1:1.0 failed with error -32

Is that a known issue, or should I report this to linux-wireless?
