Gnome applications default full screen

I am currently using gnome 3.8.4 and some gnome applications such as nautilus and evince automatically start full screen. Is this by default or might I accidentally configured gnome to do this? How can I configure gnome to not open windows full screen automatically?

Did you install maximus?

Re: Gnome applications default full screen

Thought of it, but I don't have maximus installed. Also I don't think its a gnome extension which causes this. Must be some configuration setting.

Re: Gnome applications default full screen

As of gnome 3.10 the problem seems to be solved.
