Reusing an old compile forder with makepkg

It takes me well over an hour and a half to compile wine-silverlight (from AUR). Is it possible to reuse the folder I compiled it in last time and there by significantly reduce the time it takes to compile?

I'm guessing switch out the PKGBUILD and the patch files for the new versions and run makepkg again?

I haven't tried it, but there's the makepkg option -e or --noextract, looks like it could be what you need. This only works, of course, if you can reuse the old source files.

You should try ccache.

Have you tried just dropping in the new PKGBUILD and building?
