[SOLVED] Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, how to make it work?

How can I get this to work under Arch? the controller gets detected at /dev/input/js0 and I if cat the file I get a bunch of symbols (which I read that means it works).

However, I can make it work with anything, am I missing something?

It even gets detected as: Bus 004 Device 003: ID 045e:0719 Microsoft Corp. Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter

The light on the controller keeps blinking but thats normal also.

If anyone can help out with this I would really appreciate it.

thanks for the help

Already read that but didn't help. However I found the problem. Controller wouldn't sync with the wireless receiver. I ended up using xboxdrv userspace driver and after sync it worked like a charm, even the xbox light stops blinking and stays fixed on the player 1 big_smile

thanks for the help

Just for your interest.
I have had the same problem and was solved by xboxdrv too.
I added info about xboxdrv in ArchWiki. So if you have some more information - just write it in wiki.

Guys sorry to bump this thread, do this method work for those Chinese wireless adapters?
AFAIK in windows they use the same driver as the original adapter (but need to be "forced")
