[SOLVED] /dev/sr0 and /dev/dvd missing
Hello everybody,
I have a problem with my fresh installed Arch GNU/Linux.
If I start the PC without a CD in the drive, then both /dev/sr0 and /dev/dvd are missing.
After a loooong time I found out that starting the PC with a CD in the drive is a workaround....
Do you know what is the problem?

What happens if you boot w/o an optical disk in drive and put it in later?

I have to ask - if there's no disc in the drive, why do you need /dev/sr0 and /dev/dvd?

If I start up the PC without CD then I put one in the drive and want to burn something, then there is neither /dev/sr0 nor /dev/dvd created by udev (or systemd or whatever).
And so, of course, xfburn tells me there is no optical burning device in such case.
Only I can burn when I start up with a CD in the drive.
