PS3 controller /dev/input/js0 missing

Hi,

I'm trying to get a PS3 controller to work without success (I looked at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Joystick).

I have the following modules loaded:
analog                  7998  0
gameport              7523  1 analog
joydev                  9663  0

lsusb gives:
Bus 006 Device 006: ID 054c:0268 Sony Corp. Batoh Device / PlayStation 3 Controller

But I have no /dev/input/js0 and steam doesn't find a gamepad.

I have a custom kernel, I also tried to load the xpad module and I press the PS button on the controller.

Any idea?

It doesn't have to be js0, what do you have in /dev/input?
