[SOLVED] KDE 4.11 theming - ugly buttons - no full app integration

Hello all,

I recently installed Arch Linux and installed also the kde-meta package (I think this package is Everything on KDE).

The problem I have is ugly buttons and no theme integration on some applications. I can show you two pictures to understand what I mean

Firefox & Gimp : http://i.imgur.com/VBpb71n.jpg (slim glow theme)

Gimp buttons : http://i.imgur.com/VGkh7Nd.jpg (slim glow theme)

Same thing if I use another theme e.g oxygen

What is missing ?

I don't have a display manager, but I use ~/.xinitrc and startx. (.xinitrc contents is exec startkde only)
I tried some modifications from kde system settings but nothing worked. This behavior was from the beginning of installation.
I have nvidia-325 driver installed.

Regards
NikTh

Please do a little more research before posting.
Anyway, see this wiki entry: Uniform Look for Qt and GTK Applications

Probably I used the wrong keywords, because I searched the Arch Wiki before I post here.

Thanks for the link.

The problem is that  the icon theme oxygen doesn't provide all GNOME icons. Either GIMP or Oxygen are not full XDG-Icon-Theme spec compatible.
BTW: if you use Oxygen-Transparent or Bespyn with a transparent theme its better to use Qtcurve with a transparent theme for GTK2 apps because its support transparency in GTK2 with Oxygen doesn't support in GTK2.

Dont get me wrong! I am just trying to say that the Arch wiki is your best friend. It's an unmatched wiki. But it can sometimes be hard to search information. In this case google comes in.
So what you do is take your search term and append site:wiki.archlinux.org to it.
Example: KDE theming site:wiki.archlinux.org
will yield the very page I posted in my answer. Anyway, good to know your problem's solved.
