Kernel issues regarding virtualbox

I am having some troubles with the iptables and virtualbox packages.

Virtualbox has worked fine for me until recently when I installed the extension pack for it. Now when I try to run one of my VMs, two error messages are displayed for me.

"Virtualbox Error:
Failed to open a session for the virtual machine XXXX
The virtual machine 'XXXX' has terminated unecpectadly during startup with exit code 1
Details:
Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component: Machine
Interface: IMachine"

"VirtualBox - Error in suplibOsInit:
The VirtualBox Linux kernel driver (vboxdrv) is either not loaded or there is a permission with /dev/vboxdrv. Please reinstall the kernel module by executing 'pacman -S virtualbox-host-modules' as root. If you dont use our stock kernel, install virtualbox-host-source and execute dkms autoinstall."

I have executed the command and reinstalled the host-modules, without any luck. When running (as root) `modprobe vboxdrv` I get the error message: "modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'vboxdrv': Invalid argument"

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how I should proceed?

Thank you.

Re: Kernel issues regarding virtualbox

Removal of the extension pack, a system upgrade and a reboot and things are back to normal...

Still, what just happend? Why would the extension pack cause these problems?
