I had a Steinberg CL1 device that was unsupported under Linux. Device is a few years old and every Google search would end up on a site where others were complaining about the lack of driver support. I had resigned myself to being soundless until I could sell it, but I noticed this morning that I had sound after all.
I haven't been able to find a Changelog where support was added, but I am on 3.11.2 and it is working. Looks like it is through the snd_usb_audio module.
Just posting this in case others are searching for compatibility with Linux.
It is also known as the Yamaha Steinberg CI1.
