[SOLVED] Crash banshee at launch

Hello,
I have upgraded my laptop and my desktop computer today, and Banshee crash at launch on both of them :

[Warn  18:56:14.786] Extension `Banshee.OpticalDisc.Dvd.DvdService' not started: DiscService cannot work when no HardwareManager is available
[Info  18:56:14.787] All services are started 0,125221
Missing method System.Threading.Monitor::Enter(object,bool&) in assembly /usr/lib/mono/2.0/mscorlib.dll, referenced in assembly /usr/lib/mono/gac/glib-sharp/2.12.0.0__35e10195dab3c99f/glib-sharp.dll

Unhandled Exception:
System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'System.Threading.Monitor.Enter'.

Here is my pacman log : http://pastebin.com/2QftTJku
Here is the complete banshee log : http://pastebin.com/qMRGAS3b

Thank you !

Edit : It's a problem with the gtk-sharp-2 package, so you have to downgrade it from the 2.12.22 to the 2.12.11 version.
If you don't have it in your pacman cache, I uploaded it : http://www.mediafire.com/download/9qvn9 … pkg.tar.xz

Re: [SOLVED] Crash banshee at launch

Thanks for posting this and adding to the bug report that I made Anthony. For a horrible moment I thought that I am the only one with this problem! I am a bit of a rookie and am not really making that much sense out of what I am looking at! (The errors)

Re: [SOLVED] Crash banshee at launch

Don't worry, you're not the only one wink

I think there is a problem with this package : gtk-sharp-2
I'm trying to downgrade this package and see if it fixes the crash.

Re: [SOLVED] Crash banshee at launch

It works with an old version of gtk-sharp-2 (2.12.11).
For now you can downgrade on this version, in waiting for a patch.

Re: [SOLVED] Crash banshee at launch

Perhaps someone can help me here, when I look in /var/cache/pacman/pkg/ I see "gtk-sharp-2-2.12.22-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz" but cannot find an older version of the file? I never run "pacman -Scc" so all the older versions (files) should be there? Or not? Please, I would be grateful for some help as I really cannot do without my Banshee player.

Re: [SOLVED] Crash banshee at launch

Like I said on the bugreport, I created a bugreport on the banshee bugzilla : https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=709813

Apparently it's not a banshee problem...
I've blocked gtk-sharp-2 in pacman so it will not upgrade this package, but if someone notices that banshee works with gtk-shar-2 2.12.22 (or higher) after an upgrade or anything, tell ours wink
