Kernel upgrade to 3.11.4 killed my XF86AudioRaiseVolume XF86AudioLowerVolume XF86AudioMute buttons - also the battery symbol/charge state is not shown anymore.
It seems like the KeyCodes changed, as when I open cinnamon and try to change the hotkeys and press the extra buttons, I get RaiseVolume instead of XF86AudioRaiseVolume (same for Down and Mute) but they still do not work as supposed.
xmodmap -pk
also tells me that the non XF86-prefixed one does not even exist.
xev |grep Raise
does not output anything, which in turn means the hotkey is not recognized, though
xev
in gives one of these blocks for any (!) of the 3 audio buttons.

but the 2 is not fixed, it varies in time (but not between keys!)
For the missing battery symbol, really no clue.
If anybody got any news or ideas I am more than happy to give them a whirl.

Note: This has happened once before (I think it was 2.6.30-ish) but to be honest I can not recall how I fixed it :S
