Problem with polling rate - 333Hz only

Hi,

I have a problem with my mouse "Evolve Black Cat". The mouse supports 1000Hz and on Windows (on the same laptop) is everything OK, so mouse is not the problem. I followed this guide to set the polling rate to 1000Hz. But when I checked it via evhz I get 333Hz only. When I try to set 500Hz I get 250Hz. 125Hz and 250Hz is working fine but I want 1000Hz.

The mouse is not compatible with Linux by default, but it works without any problems after changing the value of "HID_MAX_USAGES" to 35000 in the kernel
source. The mouse comes with configuration software for windows only but DPI switching is working on linux without it. So I think the software is not necessary for setting polling rate.

Question is simple (answer may not): Does anyone know how to solve it?

Thanks in advance.

Albrecht

Re: Problem with polling rate - 333Hz only

I have a problem getting usbhid.mousepoll=2 to work too. Looking around on google it looks like a bug in the driver on some mouse

Re: Problem with polling rate - 333Hz only

I tried connect the mouse via USB in my keyboard and the frequency has increased to 500Hz (sometimes it jumped to 1kHz for a moment) but still can't get 1kHz .. even after full reinstall of Arch. In /sys/module/usbhid/parameters/mousepoll is 1.
