Damn, that character in the bottom right of your shot reminds me of a girl I know.

Does her name end with "jpg"?

nope

but she loves everything of that style and would probably animate well...

Re: January 2006 Arch Screenshots

I am using gnome and have tried to fix my xterm to run without any decorations at all, that is no title bar or anything, just the terminal. An example is the terminal on the first post of this thread.

Anyone with any hints on how to do that? Ive googled for hours now.. nothing that worked..

Devil's Pie should do the trick. Something like

(if (is (application_name) "xterm") undecorate)

should work for you.

Changes from Dec. screenshot:
- couldn't get used to the 2x4 pager so went back to  the 4x2 pager and moved it in the bottom left corner like it was a few months ago roll
- removed button bar. I was never using it.

In the screenshot, I'm browsing the web with emacs. tongue

Yeah... I don't like fancy decorations.  When I was using KDE, I was using the CDE window decorations.  Although I prefer SGI for UNIX workstations. smile

Re: January 2006 Arch Screenshots

My beloved FVWM...

screen200601081lh.th.png

Using Tyrex decoration from theme Clean Green (or whatever it's called). I've restructured the config, so it's much cleaner now. Made some changes to allow on-the-fly changing of decorations, colorsets and wallpapers. Added thumbnailing functions for window list (like FvwmExpose), but everything in backend is done with pure c for speed (no imagemagick). I now plan to add a system monitor written in FvwmScript. smile
