Re: [SOLVED] Using the Arch Install Scripts

Welcome to the forum. If you have installed Arch "manually" you have already used those scripts. If you unpack one of the archives you will find arch-chroot, pacstrap, and genfstab.

There are other scripts around that provide more automation (if you are looking for that kind of thing) but they are all written by users and are not officially supported.

Re: [SOLVED] Using the Arch Install Scripts

It's not built into Arch. Those scripts are included on the install medium. Once you have installed Arch you no longer need them.

When you say "i have installed arch manually a few times" what exactly do you mean? Did you follow the steps in the Beginners Guide, or did you do something else? At some point in the procedure, did you use the command "arch-chroot" or "pacstrap" or "genfstab"? If you used any of those commands, you used one of the scripts in the ais package you linked to in your original post.
