I cant sync pacman

My conection starts fine, i can do ping, etc.
My eth0 is up and running.
But...
I type

pacman --sync --refresh

and then...

:Syncronizing package data...
: Current is up to date..

Cant connect to (every ftp mirror in my configuration).
Cant connect to (every ftp mirror in my configuration).
Cant connect to (every ftp mirror in my configuration).
Cant connect to (every ftp mirror in my configuration).
etc.

What can I do? I cant sync, download or upgrade.
Am i losing conection?

Have you tried any http mirrors? Can you make a normal connection to any ftp server e.g. ftp://ftp.archlinux.org in Firefox?

the same thing happens to me, and it worked fine yesterday:

root:/$ pacman -Sy
:: Synchronizing package databases...
connect: Connection refused
error: cannot connect to ftp.archlinux.org

and i can connect to ftp.archlinux.org using my browser with no problems

i tried using a http mirror and it works, but all the other ftp mirrors don't...  :shock:  what's happening?
