[SOLVED] iMac07 won't boot, question mark blinking on boot screen

Hi people,
I tried to install ArchLinux as the only OS on my iMac mid-2007 by following the beginner's guide -- my origin operating system on the mac was Debian -- but at the boot time, no OS's are found on the mac and the only thing I can see is a picture of a question mark within a folder.
I'm not confident with boot loaders, and I honestly can't recall how I managed to successfully install Debian (I do remember I installed rEFIt from OSX before deleting OSX itself), any hint?

Edit: I started over the whole installation process and everything went fine. I'm sure I skipped some step in the previous installation, quite possibly  one of the UEFI-related notes.
