New computer DELL Precision M4800

Hi,

I gotten a new computer unfortunaly i cant boot the arch usb installer ...

SPEC's

Dell Precision M4800

What i tried ...

Booting arch usb leagcy (201310)
# dd bs=4M if=/path/to/archlinux.iso of=/dev/sdx && sync

Booting arch usb UEFI
using  gdisk & mkfs.vfat -F32

in both cases I can select boot x86_64

get loading img .....

then black screen ....

Any advice ?

Iso image for a usb device?  Maybe this is the problem.


I may have to CONSOLE you about your usage of ridiculously easy graphical interfaces...

no, that's  a special iso that can also be used to boot from usb.

senare, your laptop has both an intel videocard (integrated in the cpu) and a nividia card.

Is this an nvidia optimus system ?

Can you disable the nividia card and see if that helps ?
